Our basic course in pickleball, where students learn to play by playing. Everything from footwork, court movement, paddle dexterity and even safety is taught in a fun and informative way.
RECEIVING THE BALL
Before a player can hit that great, winning shot, they must be in the proper position on the court, relative to the path of the ball. They also must be stopped to provide a solid launchpad for their shots! Footwork and on-court movement are critical to success!
PADDLE DEXTERITY
That paddle that was so unfamiliar to them just a few minutes ago, begins to become an extension of the student's arms and hands. Students learn to handle the paddles, from both the forehand and backhand sides, with accuracy, by doing fun games and drills.
GROUNDSTROKES
Being able to address the oncoming ball and hit it where you want with the proper amount of force, is a critical skill. As they progress from hitting a tossed ball to playing a rally, the students quickly grasp the ability to direct the ball as they wish.
